Our women of the future - C3 congratulates Laura O'Reilly

Valued friend to C3 Church, Fighting Chance co-founder Laura O'Reilly has much to celebrate, having just been awarded The Australian Women's Weekly 'Women of the Future' prize for her determination, hard work and initiative in seeking equality and empowerment for adults with a disability in the workforce.

What an impressive accomplishment! Sibling duo Laura and Jordan O'Reilly have an incredible capacity and passion to see a better future for people with disabilities. The year 2009 saw the brother and sister team establish Fighting Chance, a not-for-profit organisation creating opportunities for individuals who generally miss out on many things that we often take for granted.

C3 Church's Beyond ministry has been honoured to partner with Fighting Chance in their efforts, awarding the organisation two substantial offerings with a combined total of more than $20,000 over the past two years. This is testament to the admirable generosity of a whole community of Vision Builders across our six campuses. Without such generosity, faithfulness and benevolence towards others, our contribution to vital community initiatives like Fighting Chance could not be realised.

At our recent Girls Night Out presented by Everywoman at Oxford Falls campus, Fighting Chance set up camp in the foyer selling gorgeous items from their brand 'Avenue' - Disability Fair Trade Arm that empowers people with disabilities by creating jobs for them both locally and in developing nations. The women in attendance that night spent $1,000 on beautiful gifts and items, which simply demonstrates the quality of the product and support of our wonderful ladies who believe in it.

C3 Church congratulates Laura on this wonderful award, and extends this congratulations to Jordan and the rest of the team that provide such wonderful services; empowering terrific young men and women with disabilities to find fulfilment in the work force. It's always such a pleasure to host Fighting Chance and we look forward to continuing our precious relationship.
