The central tenet of our goal at C3 is simple - to connect people to the ultimate source, Jesus. Connecting individuals to Christ is the most central aspect of what we aim to achieve in living out the Great Commission.
Jesus told His disciples, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matt 28:18-20
When Jesus was asked which of the ten commandments is most sovereign, He responded, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matt 22:37-39. So while connection to God through His elaborate gift of Jesus is foundational to the Christian walk, similarly we are told to love other people. This means that we are called to be in community with the people around us!
Connect Groups provide an opportunity outside of our church services for people to get together, talk about God and 'do life' with one another. They meet all times of the day, all through the week, in many different locations - cafes, homes, workplaces, schools, universities, parks, retirement villages... any place where it is convenient for people to get together.
